There have been some questions about the three audio adapters we build, so I wanted to go over the differences.
1.) Standard Audio Adapter
This is obviously our simplest and most popular product. It is designed to allow you to listen to music with your favorite headphones but must be unplugged to answer a call.
STANDARD AUDIO ADAPTOR
2.) Audio Adapter with Mic and Answer Button
This adapter has a built in microphone and answer button. The microphone is very sensitive and can be used at a distance, but it is designed primarily to be used at ear level without having to unplug the adapter every time you receive a call.
AUDIO ADAPTOR WITH BUILT-IN MICROPHONE AND ANSWER BUTTON
3.) 2-in-1 Standard and Retractable Adapters
If you are a true road warrior this is the best solution. It allows you to listen to your tunes and carry on conversations without missing a beat, (no pun intended). It has a built in microphone, volume control and answer button. The music is interrupted when a call comes in...you press the answer button and speak naturally. When you're done, simply press the button again to end the call. It comes in both standard and retractable versions. The standard comes with a fixed length cord while the retractable shrinks to a very small size for easy travel.
2-IN-1 ADAPTOR (RETRACTABLE or STANDARD TYPE)
These models work with both the 8100 Pearl and the new 8800. Because the microphone is very sensitive, we've also had some people from this forum use the 2nd and 3rd adapters to record meetings.
Please post here if you have any additional questions.
