Default Use BB as a modem with corporate vpn access?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

my BB is connected to the companys BES 5.0 server. So I can access intranet webpages and connect to pcs with vnc.

I'm wondering if I can use somehow the bb to get access to my corporate intranet with my pc.

Is there any way to do that?

Thanks!

You may want to direct this question to your IT department. If they are willing to support such access they will alread have the tools in hand. There are a great many reasons why they wouldn't want this to happen though, so be prepared for rejection.

I'd definitly agree with you that this is not a good idea for normal users, but I'm the server admin in the company.
I'm just wondering if there is a way - and I think there must be some.

At least I'd like to have a tool which not only brings the screen of the BB
to my desktop pc but let's me control the device remotly.

Thanks!

We access our Cisco VPN client and corporate intranet while tethered - it's no less secure than any other method.

So you mean you connect the bb with usb to the pc. Then start BB Desktop Manager and use the modem feature for connecting?
Is this it?

Thanks!
