Default Upgraded to 4.2 now PocketMac won't detect 8700

Please Login to Remove!

Used PocketMac with no problems, then upgraded to 4.2 on my 8700. System Profile shows the 8700 connected to my mac (OS X duo intel) but PocketMac doesn't detect it. I run XP in parallels, that's how I upgraded. Blackberry Desktop will find my 8700 while running windows. Frustrated as I need to sync my 8700 using to Mac address book and iCal. Anyone suffer the same way?

Ever since I upgraded to the latest version, I have not be able to reliably sync my contacts. [It's hard to tell which version one has. I download 4.2, but the info screen shows 1.0....] This software is very buggy. I would not recommend it.

I have used the utilities to clean the sync and PocketMac files. I have followed the instructions for completely uninstalling PocketMac. I have reinstalled the lastest version. on and on and on.... Nothing seems to work. RIM should not support or endorse unreliable software.

Thanks. Nice to know - I'll stop spinning my wheels for the time being. Unfortunate as PocketMac a pretty elegant solution for my needs prior to my OS upgrade.

same here.

upgraded to 4.2.1.85 on my 8700c, and PocketMac won't see my BB. The computer does, as a Blackberry device is found plugged into the USB under System Profile. I have a PowerBook G4, OS X 10.4.9

Quite frustrating.
