Purchased a new Blackberry, w/ Verizon 2 months ago. Now I have to switch over to Cingular for work. Can the Blackberry be switched, unlocked, to work on the Cingular network? If so, does anyone know the unlock code or process? Cingular wants me to buy one of their blackberry phones. I do not want to have to go purchase a new "Cingular Blackberry" when I just spend a good amount on the one I have.

Verizon uses CDMA and Cingular uses GSM/GPRS (which is based on TDMA). They are not compatable and there is no way I know of to make a Verizon phone work on Cingular's system.

I have a similar problem. I have a Cingular BB 8700 and my company just bought a server and BB's from Verizon. Can I have my BB sync up through Microsoft Exchange on the Verizon network?

You can have your BB work with your BES using Cingular as the wireless provider. The wireless provider does not matter.

You can have handhelds from EVERY provider in the world on the same BES and they will work fine.
