Default Want bold email notification

Please Login to Remove!

We use a corporate solution called "notify" instead of the BES solution. Seems to be working out great and handles all different types of devices. One thing it does that is a neat feature is that is BOLD all new incoming email. At a quick glance I can open and see what is new. I also do some personal domain forwarding to the stock email program. Any way to change incoming messages to BOLD?

Thanks for your assistance now and in the future.

I don't think so. I don't believe the BlackBerry supports the bolding on new e-mails. Just the different envelop icon on the left hand side.

My new unread email are bold compared to the rest. I have a 7100t. But you have to make sure the font you are using is not set to BOLD all the time in the settings. I believe this was also how my 7230 worked, also.

Good point - I use a bold font normally. I will check this out on the 7290 now.

Nope; just set my 7290 to use the "plain" font characteristic. New messages do not appear bolded on the 7290, running v4.0.

I could have sworn it was bold. I just did a test and it was not. Maybe when I was trying to decide to use the bold font or not, I noticed the day headers in the inbox were bold if the font isn't set to bold. This helps to differntiate the day. This is in the Default theme (List view).

But I stand corrected, they are not bold.

Set up a filter to forward messages as level 1 messages, this will make them BOLD until read (so long as you have BOLD off in Options-->Screen/Keyboard

In the Blackberry WebClient under Filters
create a generic filter (ie. subject does not contain sdfsdfasdfasdf)
Forward messages to handheld (checked)
Header only (unchecked)
Level 1 notification (checked)
