Hi!

I just have 1 question. Is it possible to install BBToday without the weather option? I just would like to have in my BB the Pocket style OS without the weather part in it.

If not possible, how does the weather thing works? It connects to the internet from my BB to retrieve the weather information. Is there any chance to disable this? I don't want BBToday to access the internet to retrieve any information. I don't want to waste any kbs with this.

can you turn off or rearrange the sections like you can in PocketDay? I have no use for stock quotes...

This worked great! Just got my 7100t yesterday and couldnt wait to see what extra's are out there! Input my ZIP CODE for the Location ID and weather came up.

OK, I for one am happy that this suite of applications is back on line for all users. I'm Happy that I've had this for the past few months myself and can't thank Deadstick enough for agreeing to work things out so that we could all benefit "Thank you sir"

I use this program as my main screen for my bb and its the most professional looking and well organized (after a few user setting adjustments). I don't think this berry would be half as useful without it.

Mark, do we know who has the source code (aka: who is working on improvements?)

ok heres the deal.

I have a 7290 with Cingular service and i cannot get bbtoday to bring in weather or stocks. I have gotten the error "could not open tunnel-failed"

so i disabled firewall and entered my apn as the following
"apn:wap.cingular.com"
I have left user name and password blank
still receiving message "could not open tunnel-failed"

Changed apn to "wap.cingular"
now receiving message "bad dns address"

I have tried both apn's with the mds proxy disabled and enabled.

How do I accomplish this
the location id i entered off of www.weather.com was the following:

which i entered USNC0558 as my location id under prefrences.

How do i overcome this problem?????

I'm having a problem with the appointments section,

Today (May 22nd) is my day off, so in my outlook calendar it says Day Off and set as an all day event, this morning the bbToday appointment section showed Day Off and a few hours later also showed "Day Off (Holiday)" which is what is in my outlook calendar for May 23rd.

We are now 9:11 pm and the appointment that is shown is "Day Off (Holiday)" which is tomorrow's all day event, I also have 2 other appointments for tomorrow, but they are not displayed at the moment.

Anybody have this problem.

I also noticed that the time freezes if you change the time format to 24hr format.

I'm using a 7250 with Bell Mobility.

I've just installed BB today but now if i try to install any new software the application loader tells me its going to remove bbtoday as its an unknown application.

anyone else have this problem?

Did you save your bbtoday installation files on your computer?

I keep reading that the BBToday program will "override" your home screen but this doesnt seem to be happening. I have to launch this program every time i want to see it. I dont see anything in prefs or options to correct this. i'm using v. 1.5. is this something new in this version? i would rather have my BB default to this screen than to have to launch it every time.

Yes This is a known problem. If you look back in this thread you'll see other users who have reported this. I have this problem with "all day appointments" as well

I have my unit changed to display 24hr format but have not had this issue that you mention here. I'm curious what seetings you changed to? mine are: E, MMM dd HHmm

I just tried it on my 7250 and all I get is a forever spinning hourglass and I do have OS4.

My apologize's for not stating the utility that caused the forever spinning hourglass. The utility was BBToday

I loaded it on my 7290 with TMobile and everything works as stated in the first shot. For weather, I put in the zip code and it comes up. I even have 2 weather locations displaying. Battery does drain faster than without BBtoday.

My complain is the coloring choice. On the stock symbol screen, you cannot change the color on the stock symbol. On the weather screen, I can't seem to find a medium color so the hi/lo temp. will both stand out with the blue background when hightlighted.

Anyone has any color combo suggestion?

Yes, I did as well. I have a 7290 (OS4.0) on Cingular and when I installed ReqWireless Web Viewer it took all my other apps off (BBToday, BBWeather, BBCorrector, BBReply and BBLight). I didn't give it much thought as I figured I would just re-install those apps. WRONG !!!! When I re-installed the deleted apps, I can't get the weather on BBToday or BBWeather. I receive a "could not open tunnel - failed". I've removed and re-installed the apps in all different orders and no luck. My TCP settings are correct but it still refuses to connect. The apps worked GREAT before I installed the web viewer. I now wish that I hadn't.



UPDATE
After speakning with 2 levels of Cingular support and then RIM support, I finally got the Reqwireless Web Browser to work again. Unfortunately, the BBWeather and the weather portion of BBToday still do not work. I receive this error ""could not open tunnel - failed".
My TCP settings are correct (verfied when it actually worked correctly).

Anybody have ANY ideas?????

SUCCESS !!!!!! I called Cingular's data line 866 490 2666, and had them check my WAP settings. Low and behold, the wap.cingular was missing from the backend . The tech re-enabled it and voila, my apps worked. Why it dissapeared is anyone's guess. I hope the rest of you, who are having problems, find your solution.
