Default Battery charge speed is slow?

Please Login to Remove!

I never really realized this until my computer decided to shut down on me while I was asleep, but does the 9000 usually take forever to recharge? I started recharging at 8:50AM and it's 10:26AM as I'm typing this, but the battery went from no charge to only 30%. Is this...umm...normal?

Charging via a computer will always take longer than a wall charger.

Ditto.

Also, depending on the computer, it may shut down USB when sleeping or standing by.

On computer charge yes is very slow. On the AC charger my Bold 9000 takes 3hrs to charge from 0 to 100%. The firtst 80% only takes an hour, the last 20% goes in at a trickle. Yusuf

Charging on a computer is really slow especially when it's sleeping or if you're running a ton of stuff on it

Great it is the absolute opposite for me. When I charge via my USB it charges in 90-100 mins, but it takes over 2 hours in AC.

Wirelessly posted (Bold 9000)

Just don't shut your PC off with the BB connected...it will drain your BB very quickly.

you can also usually change the voltage output of your usb ports via the BIOS settings on your computer. They are usually turned right down to provide minimal output and conserve power, but if you change them to a higher setting, you will find that you can charge your blackberry very quickly. with mine down to 10%, it usually takes me 30-45 minutes to reach 100%
