Nope. Unfortunately it appears that the pearl's bluetooth functionality is not robust enough. here is a good walk through about how to do it though for other blue tooth enabled phones

My BB8100 works as a data modem with the Mac either via Bluetooth or USB under OS X on TMobile. You might read the featured thread about modem or do a search to download the Mac script. This functionality is very handy when WiFi access is not available. Again, data modem functionality works directly in OS X and in Windows.
