Woah!
Still using Pro Tools? You have got to be one of the few die-hards left! I realize it's considered an "industry standard" but really, there are significantly better tools available these days, and for far, far less money.
Ever considered Logic Studio? It is a fantastic kit of tools, and while I haven't upgraded to the latest version of Studio yet, the upgrade is $200. $200! That's chump-change in the world of music editing and production. It's a heck of a software package.
Of course, if your whole setup is wrapped around a Digi hardware core, then I suppose you're stuck from now until the end of time with software that is what it is... but you can always make yourself feel better by reminding everyone that it's an "industry standard" regardless of how old and worn out it is.
