Sounds like you have some great insight. I just purchased a 8330 and loving it. I to am trying to figure out the best route and discovered I can't install apps with missing sync. I tried PocketMac but it seems my model is not supported. Any idea on timeframe of when it will be ready? Thanks!

Have tried both, and now with Missing Sync. More consistent connection. Works well. Got a rebate because I was a return customer as I had owned the windows mobile version.

I think MarkSpace provides good service. At least for me. Good luck.

Default Missing Sync issues

I wanted to weigh in here - I have used MS on a Moto Q (for my wife) for several months and loved it. Worked the first time, and every time since.

I just bought my wife a BB Curve, spent the "crossgrade" money to buy the MS for BB software, and after 6 days of frustration, still not one completed sync. It sync'd calendar ONE time, then blew up the next time.

It can't complete contacts, and now only syncs about 97% of the calendar (based upon # of entries it shows). No tasks sync at all. I am at my wit's end!

I have wiped the BB at least 3x, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, rebooted, and nothing ... and I must say, I don't know who you guys have dealt with for tech support at MS, but it's absolutely frigging miserable. No phone support unless I want to pay $60 (1.5x the cost of the initial program at $40), and emails come 1x per day, always with something helpful like the last one "Do you have a CD card in your device? Try removing it and see what happens when you connect." Total BS. Oh, and not to forget his claim that since it DID sync the calendar ONE TIME, that it "was previously working."

I am beyond pi$$ed right now (yes, I need to calm down, I know), bc I have no recourse - it's not like I have only gotten a trial version and I'm not out the money - they have my money and they refuse to waive the $60 fee to call me - even though it's never worked since install.

In any case, I will be trying out PM tonight when I get home from work - anything I should know about uninstalling MS to avoid any contacts, etc? I will also be wiping the BB again, just to make sure ...

thanks in advance for listening to my rant, and if you have any advice or suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!!

Pocketmac is not only the official blackberry software for mac (God know how) it is also a perfect piece of shxt.....

A fine example of the worst mac software ever written. BEWARE BEWARE ALL it will corrupt your data, destroy calenders, burn your laptop and kill your blackberry....

For Gods sake stop spreading a virus by allowing free download of that crap....

Looks like I am going to have to pay for Missing Sync. Sucks. Sucks. Sucks.

I already spent a hiney load getting my phone, now I have to spend more to get it to work with my computer. Stinkin RIM promotes PocketMac, and it doesn't work for Poo.

Blech.

I tried PocketMac for 2 days. It would not recognize my Curve.
I received a discount on Missing Sync (former owner of a TX), so it was an easy choice. It works perfect...but so far I have only synced my address book and iCal.

Well, I have just downloaded and used the latest PocketMac and it works like a charm for me. And I have just figured out how to deal with iCal's and OS 4.5's multiple calendars.

Does missing Sync preform a backup and restore feature.

I read an article that said neither was compatible with the Bold, however I've been using my Bold with MS without any problems (although I only use the contacts/calendar syncing).

I've not tried PM with my Bold mainly due to how useless it was with my Pearl and then my Curve
