Okay this makes some sense. I "discussed" this with Cingular also and they told me that the only BB plan I could get that included unlimited was 44.99. They said there was nothing cheaper on the consumer side. Now, that being said, my biz partner who uses BIS on a non biz account just had his plan changed from 44.99 to 29.99 with no problem and still retains unlimited. I guess he's just missing unlimited text? You would think Cingular would make this easier to understand but their plans are quickly ranking up there with the IRS tax code.

Are you sure about that? There was a discussion about Cingular rate plans. I don't remember if it was here or another forum.

I go and double check on that on Cingular website. I'll be back.

But I am sure for personal use, it is $29.99.

Looks like you already got your answer.

I hope your right. I'll try again tomorrow and give them the code.

Be persistent, the unfortunate thing is all reps don't know about it. The product knowledge could use work. If all else fails, ask for a supervisor. Good luck

Success!

Although now the BB internet browser seems unable to connect and Opra mini is a little spotty. trying a soft reset to see if that corrects the problem.

I had the 44.99 plan until an hour ago. If you don't need to connect to your works mail server than call and switch.

I have a plan code "BBRYUNL ALL4", $29.99 through Premier. I was told this plan includes 1000 SMS/MMS. Anybody else has this plan and can confirm? Thanks

I switched two phones down to the 29.99 plan and both of them lost the blackberry browser. I just had to call in to Cingular and ask for someone in the BB Data area and they reprovisioned the browser for me and everything worked fine after that.

Okay, I called Cingular this morning and the only plan they could change me to is the $39.99 plan (from originally the $44.99 plan). She said that the $29.99 plan is for non-blackberry devices only.

What is going on with Cingular??? Do they have regional plans??? Why do some people get the $29.99 plan and others do not? And I happen to be one of the unfortunate ones who does not.

I wish Cingular would read these forums............ Oh well. Life's a .....Cingular data plan...............

I thought my question was answered, but then after reading the whole thread I am confused again.

On Cingular only:

If I am on a BES, then I have to stick with the $44.99 plan ($49.99 w/o voice)?

Yes, if you are on a Bes then you need to be on the $44.99 plan

I just spoke to Cingular and they jumped all over me when I gave them the plan code that "justdonating" posted. They told me that plan did not exist and that the cheapest plan I could get is the $39.99 plan.

I'm sooooo confused. I'm tired of dealing with it. I may just stick with the $39.99 plan and try calling again next month. There are too many dingleberries to deal with.

Some thing is going on for sure. I'm gonna try to get a hold of a friend of mine that works in a store.
