Question BlackBerry Status While Servers are down

Please Login to Remove!

We will be upgrading both our Lotus Notes Email server, and our BES for Domino server this weekend.

If both BES and Notes are down for a period of time, does anyone know what would happen if a BB user attempts to send an email from their device (e.g. would they receive an error, would the message simply be delivered to the ISP for queuing, etc.)?

Thanks

After a couple of minutes of sending they will get the red X.

I think that when the BB server is down and they send a message it will wait on their phone until it finds a connection to the server.

Yup, returns a red X, after exactly 10 minutes.
