Default 8320 Reboot problem again, agian

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

My 8320 is rebooting constansly! Almost every 3 hours. I have installed the latest OS, removed the memory card, wiping the phone (not with JL), bought a new battery. I think I have tried evey suggestion I could find in older treads but nothing works. The phone was bought second hand so there is no warranty.

The only thing that differs from other treads is that my phone is constantly roaming because of my carrier but this was also the case with my 8800 and it did not have the reboot problem.

I have only installed Gmail and Opera and the wifi is turned off. Any suggestions on what to do? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Could it be a bad SIM card?

what is the amount of free memory left on your device?

Do Alt + Right Shift + H.. if the "File Free" is less than 12 MB you have a problem. In this case now go to this thread to gain some more memory

If you didn't try JL_Cmdr, then what about trying that? Also re-download the OS.

Was the phone rebooting when you first got it or is this a recent development?

The problem has been there since I got it. But last night after having it connected to my computer at work all day, the phone was ok from I left work until I went to bed. But it rebooted during the night...at least it held for 5 hours. Maybe my new batteri is not working properly either...any suggestions on at good aftermarket battery (non BB)?

I have no issues when connected to my computer and I can talk for 35-50 minutes without rebooting. It's actually only when the phone is not in use I get random reboots.

I will try to wiping it with JL_Cmdr it just looked complicated and I'm not a computer wiz.

Thanks

Tried to wipe with JL_Cmdr. I think it was succesfull, I had to leave the battery (couldn't connect without as descriebed in FAQ) in to wipe and got the 507 error on the screne.

How can I be sure the wipe worked JL_Cmdr did not give a massage with wipe complete or anything, but I got the 507 error on my screen.

Installed latest OS again and the phone was fine from I left work at 16:00 and untill i went to bed at 24:00 (battery down to 80%), but this morning it had rebooted some time during the night. I will try to se hold long it hold up today. I can properly live with the phone rebooting once or twice a day but not every 1-2 hours. I missing important work calls.
