Hi all, lost my blackberry 9700 today... let me explain my situation.

dropped my phone on the road while riding, guess someone found it and don't intend to return it (tried calling, phone is switched off).

tried locating phone through blackberry protect, no GPS signal (guess, phone is still off).

proceeded to wipe my device. which surprisingly, "command has been sent to device to erase all data".

fortunately i have backup data which is just a day before. but my question is, is there anyway to retrieve the data without using a new blackberry device? cos i intend to switch to other phone. Thank you all in advance.

If you did not try to go and trace your route then you dont know if it's just sitting along the road. As for the backup, it is the form of an .ipd file and wont load to another non-blackberry device. you can do a search on the internet for an application that will open .ipd files and from there use the data to manually load another type cell phone.
