That would be about 60 days ahead of anything I've heard or read. A "little birdie""?

RIM hasn't even publicly confirmed the device. There's NO way it's coming out next week.

BGR just Tweeted this article... BlackBerry 9700 and Motorola CLIQ release dates revealed? : Boy Genius Report

and this goes with what someone was saying earlier that it's release would be about the same time the 9000 was released last year... if i'm not mistaken this is following the same time frame.

Dark Helmet: What the hell am I looking at?! When does this happen in the movie?!
Colonel Sandurz: "Now," sir. You're looking at "now." Everything happening now is happening "now."
Dark Helmet: What happened to "then?"
Colonel Sandurz: We passed "then."
Dark Helmet: When!?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now. Were at "now," now.
Dark Helmet: Go back to "then!"
Colonel Sandurz: When?
Dark Helmet: Now!
Colonel Sandurz: "Now?"
Dark Helmet: Now!
Colonel Sandurz: I can't.
Dark Helmet: Why!?
Colonel Sandurz: We missed it.
Dark Helmet: When!?
Colonel Sandurz: Just now.
Dark Helmet: When will "then" be "now?"
Colonel Sandurz: Soon.

I thought the Bold was released in November last year. I remember being in Hong Kong beginning of November and seeing one for the first time, it had JUST come out...

I've been known to be wrong . . . often.

I can't imagine that I waited until May to purchase it, if it was out in Nov here in the US. Hhhmmmm

Neither here nor there I guess . . . at some point, it's ours!!!!!!!

I today's paper it was anounced that Bell's HSPA network would be launched nation wide (Canada) in November, months before schedule, and that an iphone anouncement was imminent. In a number of weak Roger's 3g locations I have noticed "sos" coming up, which no doubt means that the new Bell 3g signal is coming through where Roger's signal is inferior. Surprising that Bell as built, in many cases a broader HSPA network in about a quarter of the time as Rogers. Check it out in Canada. Manually scan for networks on the Bold and you will almost certainly come up with 302-880 which is the Bell HSPA network.
While the iphone gets the consumer buz, starting in November, there is no reason why all gsm Blackberrys should not be available from Bell in Canada. They will certainly work nation wide on the Bell network.

According to my Rogers dealer in Toronto, Oct 26. I picked up the Bold from the same guy on its first official release date - August 08.
In fact, I bought a few, unlocked them and flipped them online for a small profit to my US friends who wanted the latest and greatest before their providers had them.
