Default 9700 will not boot up

Please Login to Remove!

Ever since I got the 9700 I have been experiencing a whole slew of problems. It just wont start. First i thought it was my applications, so I started from scratch. From here it was fine, then it just wouldnt boot up after i did a hardreset. Now I have another one, with EXACTLY the same issues. This is ridiculous how two phones are having the same issue. I load up to 100% on the load screen, and NOTHING. I cant even hook it up to DM and do a OS reload, its not working!!!!

Any advice?

Default Solution

1. Pull the battery and LEAVE IT OUT
2. Open the Blackberry Desktop Manager
3. Click on Application Loader and choose Update Software
4. Connect your Blackberry with the battery still OUT
5. If prompted, enter your password/pin
6. If multiple OS's are listed, choose the one with preferred next to it
7. Allow the update to run without the battery
8. When it says Waiting for initialization, it will attempt to reboot. At this point you will need to insert your battery or it will show the battery icon with the red line through it. If this icon shows, simply insert your battery and the phone will reboot again
9. Allow the software to continue the update

Worked for me,
My bold 9700 would not boot and flashed a quick white light half way into the boot proccess. This fixed it,
although it completely wiped my memory and applications.

Thanks for the help though.

Hey, thanks for this! I was about to give up if this one still didn't work, but it did!

Everything on my phone also got erased but it's still quite new, so no big deal. The restore feature with the Desktop Manager also worked fine with the few data that I had saved before.

Thanks again! ;->

Thanks for the help. Reloading my OS through the manager was the right fix.

Things will happen like this, but soon be resolved!
Where did your blackberry come from? (Store?)
Has it come into contact with moisture? Water? Or had in the the bathroom while in the shower? :etc?
It may be that you need to reboot and start softly for a while.
If thats STILL happening, you should try and get a refund, our try to find
a cheaper blackberry in stores.

Hope it helped!
Thanks
