I have the BB7100r, the equivalent of the BB7100t in the United States. I just bought a Bluetooth USB device for my computer and am attempting to transfer a file to my BlackBerry. However, it says that my BlackBerry doesn't have a file transfer application, or one can't be found. Can someone tell me if I have to download one, or is it something I"m doing wrong? Or, is the BlackBerry not capable of receiving files?

The BlackBerry 7100 Bluetooth is limited to voice/handsfree only. No file transfer of any sort.

I know this is an old thread, but it pops up pretty high on google, and we did a lot of digging to figure this out.

With 4.2.1, which will be available on the 8800, and OS upgrades will be available on the 8700, and I believe the 7130, this will be possible with a custom application.

We have built an application that implements the standard Bluetooth File Transfer profile, and have successfully transferred files to and from Windows Mobile devices.

We could fairly quickly put out an application that could be used for this purpose. If it interests you, feel free to drop us a note on our website
