so I'm trying to transfer everything from my 2GB memory card to the 8GB memory card on the phone.

I keep getting that everything is write protected. Won't let me transfer anything.

I right click and go to properties and everything shows as Read only.

I had put the 8GB in the MicroSD adapter... and the 2GB in a card reader because whenever I plug it into the computer, I get a folder on Portable Devices that says, Media Card & Device Memory... but no folders (folders show in the adapter though).

What do I need to do to make sure I can switch all my music/ringtones, etc onto the 8GB card without having to buy one?

Can you copy everything from your 2GB to a folder on your PC and then copy from the folder to the 8GB card?

I was going to but the 8GB card is completely write protected. I can't copy anything over.

Sounds like the write protect slide switch is set to ON on the card.
