Default Blackberry SIM in iPhone?

Please Login to Remove!

I know the BB with an iPhone sim is problematic.

What about the other way? I want to play around with an iPhone. Other then VVM will the BB Bold SIM give me all features in an iPhone and what might AT&T think about it? Same costs just different phones.

If you do a search, you will find that a BB SIM will work in an iPhone, only the Visual Voice Mail will not. Not sure what else will not.

Been asked several times. http://www.blackberryforums.com/mac-...data-plan.html

I have searched but with all the threads I have read (including the one you linked) there really has been no definitive answer. As soon as one guy says YES someone else says MAYBE then someone says NO.

Swapping a BB data plan SIMM to an iPhone works just fine. You will not have Visual Voicemail.

The only (and it is important) issue is that AT&T knows when this switch occurs and has the right to automatically, without your consent, remove your BB plan and provision you with an iPhone data plan. It's your call whether you want to risk that or not. I chose not to and added another family line so I could use both of them.

Thanks ....

The family line is a no go for me. If it was just the $9.95 for service it would be fine but it's another $30/mo for data plan + $9.95 for service + around $5 in taxes. ~$600/year for a "mess around" phone just isn't worth it to me.
