Default Recommended case/skin for the 9000?

Please Login to Remove!

I was quite happy with the Seidio hard case for the 8800, but it appears they do not make one yet for the 9000. Even if they do, it may be an overkill as the 9000 has a relatively non-slip and durable back side (fake leather).

What's the general case/skin preference for the 9000? Something that goes around the edge protecting the silver piece from scratches, as well as keeping the factory screen protector in place?

Thanks for sharing your feedback in advance.

I am looking for the same for my soon to be delivered Bold. I have looked all over and can't find many options at this point.

Is the 8800 swivel holster case a good fit for the bold ...
Any thoughts?

I like the old one better and it's more classy.

Thumbs down http://www.blackberryden.com/boldskinblack.html

So I finally found the skin/case I want but unfortunately, they do not accept non US billing or shipping.

Oh well.

I can't recommend the Invisible Shield from Zagg .com enough. I had one on my Pearl, and have one on my iPod, DS Lite and now my Bold.

Scratch Proof and invisible, but they don't to much for impact drops (so you might want another line of defense if you tend to drop your phone.)

Take a look!

Can anyone compare the skins from Zagg with skins from:

Thanks!

The best case for BB's is by far the RexRegina. I tried many cases, nothing comes close...

There are going to be some pretty sweet cases for this phone.

Thumbs up

The best quality cases are the Vaja cases by far but they are expensive. I've been using Fortte and really like the quality. They also will mod their cases to your specs. I am using the STiL vertical pouch without a strap and love it.

BSE is better in every way.

The product is the same.

BSE is almost 3x cheaper.

Cool, I am glad I asked. I have BSE for my 8800, and love it, but I thought maybe the high price of Zagg offered something different. I guess this isn't the case where, "You get what you pay for."

Thanks for the reply!

Default Case & Skin

Although this type of case may not be for everyone, I like the old style plastic BB holster. The leather one shipped w/ the Bold is heavy & bulky.

After searching a lot, the only one I could find that would work with the Bold was on the Blackberry source site (aka eAccess). It's a spring clip style made by Seidio. It works for the 8800 as well but it stated it was tested on the Bold.

I ordered a couple of these thinking I would return them if it didn'ty work well. I've had a Seidio holster before & the quality is okay. It's actually cheaper on eAccess at $25.95 ($29.95 at Seidio)

The only downside was the cost for shipping. They used FedEx for Int'l shipping to Canada. Used a coupon code so 2 holsters cost me $81. Pricey I know but I hate all other types of holsters / cases. I also received it overnight.

I use the 2nd one to customize my winshield mount. So far, I am really happy with the holster. Fits the Bold perfectly & a lot less bulky & really light. They also make a windshield mount you can use but I already had one with a flexible arm.

As for skins, I have always used Invisible Shield never BSE. I'm not sure they are the same thickness or material but others have said they are. My view was not to "cheap out" on the protection system for an expensive toy. Zagg has also been good to deal with for customer service & the skin always worked well.

DO NOT buy the Invisible shield for the bold. That product is the biggest piece of sh!t ever made. I went through 3 screen covers, all of them did not fit properly. I demanded all my money back. I am through with installing these film pieces of garbage. You make 1 mistake putting it on, and it never sits right again after being peeled.
