Oh, and by the way, before I did Enterprise Activation after upgrading to the new software for the 7520, the Internet Browser did work.
rta53,
I've got a funny feeling that the Internet Browser and the BlackBerry Browser are really one in the same. I think the connectivity is maybe what's different. The Internet Browser completely bypasses the BES and goes straight out using Nextel's network. Whereas the BlackBerry Browser uses the BES server. Yesterday when everything broke, I could still surf with the Internet Browser for a while but the BB Browser wouldn't connect to my BES.

You may be right. I guess I was hoping the new browser might be better or faster, but I guess the important thing is to have one that works.

I am in New York, Yesterday the new browser was working great untill about 1pm, after that I get the "Cannot connect to internet" error...........I called Nextel, they were cluless and took a guess by saying there could be an outage and give it till tommorrow. I have done a master reset, resent service book........Is there anything else? Is anyone in New York having the same problem?

I bought my blackberry 7520 7 days ago...I was about to purchase webviewer until I saw the icon pop up yesterday around 11am...I'm in NJ...I used it until 12:58 when all of a sudden that didn't work or my email...I called nextel and was on the phone with them all day and night...I was Pissed to say the least...and their Blackberry customer service sucks...anyway they had me delete my service book...end result...NEVER GOT IT BACK...I had to go to the Nextel store this morning and swap it out for a new one. Nextel said they couldn't get it back and couldn't retrieve the services...Sim card stopped working and no IP address...I dont want this new browser until I know it doesn't conflict with anything...I'll use webviewer for now...

Bottled someone will answer your question, you dont have to ask twice. But if I am not mistaken I have seen it answered in another post on this forums do a search of 7510 and see what you come up with.

But the answer is no you wont see it on the 7510 they are not currently doing any upgrades to that unit. Especially since they dont sell it anymore. Sorry

A hahah ha hah hahahahaha

I finally got it.... Man that was a lot of work....

Okay kiddies here you go:

Download the new Software
Delete your service books From the top to the bottom
Turn off your 7520 and remove the battery
Wait 2.5 minutes
Go back to your service books and undelete ONCE
That should bring up the Blackberry Browser Book
Clikck the wheel to view
Click to send
Wait a few seconds while the transmission occurs

Success! And not one phone call to Nextel.

Red face

fishy....I lost my Bluetooth icon last night for about 10 minutes, had to disable bluetooth through options, soft rest.. .enable bluetooth again and pair my BT800 again. Backonline and all is well in the world of the 7520.

As of yesterday, I have lost connectivity to the HTML browser. I've been using it for about a week and half (despite the later launch) and had absolutely no issues with it whatsoever until last night.

I am currently on the phone w Nextel's BB support Tier 2. They insisted that I needed to suscribe to Televnav in order to have full access to the HTML browser. As I debate this with her over the phone, I am once again starting to question Nextel's capability in handling issues such as this.

I'm sorry, but what in the world does Telenav have to do with getting an HTML browser?

I just finished up with Tier 2 over at Nextel and here's what they tell me:

Options - Host Routing Table
Click wheel and check 'register now' (I saw this in a previous post but didn't work for me)

If that does not work:
1) Options - Security
click trackwheel and select 'master radio reset'
it will prompt you for a password; hald half moon and four zero's)
2) Go back out to homescreen and turn wireless on

In regards to the Telenav issue, Tier 2 Rep apologized profusely when I basically 'struggled' with her. Thanks to BBForums.com, I knew that was not right.

I tried the above as per the Tier 2 support. It's still not working.

Thats what i would like to know telenav isnt supported by nextel even so I dont see where that is even a issue. Soundslike they didnt equip there support team for a upgrade Plus if they are like any other CS dept they are all employed by another company and just do the support for them so they have no clue about the product anyway.

doesn't it just ^%$^$ piss you off when the Teir 2 folks try to tell things like that. I have found some of the Teir 2 folks as comlete bumbs, no help at all. Then some other times they nail it, i guess it is just the luck of the draw. Too bad you can't get an operator number to always call when you have trouble if you find one that was good.
