Re: RSS subscriptions
There are several options. Typically a reader app is used. RIM gives one away, BlackBerry News, available on App World. It is simple, but it works. There are others, and probably with more features, and probably for a cost. I don't know anymore, as BlackBerry News is what I'm used to and all I've used for a while now.
Many feeds will display in the BlackBerry browser. Depending on the format, some do not, though a reader will resolve the feed properly. Another advantage of a reader versus using the browser is that the reader can be used to only show you unread articles, and to identify what is new since the last time, making it easy and quick to identify what you have already looked at.
My advice is try BlackBerry News first to wade into RSS feeds, and then look at other reader apps to see what you may be missing. Others here are going to have recommendations.
Finally, BlackBerry News and probably all the others will have a catalog of feeds, but you can add those you want that are not in the catalog. In BlackBerry News you can search or enter a URL. If you are on a site and want to subscribe to its feed, enter the site URL into the search on the feed reader, or cut and paste the feed URL into the search, and follow directions to subscribe.
