Hi guys,

I'm having problems with calling and sms. When i go to contacts and select contact and dial it, it says "disconnected" after few seconds . But when i type the number on the pad and dial it works.

And sometimes when i send a sms it says "Error.. Failed by service.." What should i dooo??

Are you in an area with a strong signal - how many bars do you show?

Have you called your cell carrier?

Have you tried a battery pull? With the device on, remove the battery for 30 to 60 seconds, replace it and let the device reboot. Does that help?

Sounds like a network problem, like you're not getting a signal from your carrier.

You might try getting a new SIM card. Sometimes an old SIM card doesn't play nice with modern BlackBerrys.

If you bought the 9530 used you may have bought defective hardware. Maybe somebody sold you their problem device.

hey guys ,, i found the problem myself

The problem was,
I used to save my contact s in 10 numbers (Example- 0716874619) But this phone require the country code.( I found it by accident) When i saved my contact like this +94********* it works . No problem at all.
