Default Capacity of a “memo” in Outlook --- different from --- capacity of a “memo” on 7290??

Please Login to Remove!

I created a new “memo” using Outlook 2003 on my ThinkPad. I know there is an upper limit ----in terms of the capacity --- of any “memo” created in Outlook.

The “memo” I created in Outlook 2003 was fairly lengthy --- but in viewing it on my ThinkPad --- all the data was there --- in that new “memo.”

When I synchronized with my 7290 BlackBerry, that “memo” came over to my BlackBerry --- but some of the data --- at the end of the memo has been “truncated.”

It appears that the “capacity” of a “memo” in Outlook is greater than the capacity of a “memo” that can be synchronized over and stored on the 7290 --- ???

Has anyone else had this “situation?” ---- If so --- is there any “solution” --- other than breaking up the original “memo” in Outlook into Part 1, Part2, etc. --- and then synchronizing over the complete memo --- in separate “parts?”

Thanks for any suggestions or ideas you can share.

I've run into this with my 7230. The only solution I've found -- as you suggest -- is to break up long documents into separate parts. It might be useful to perform a character count on a filled-to-capacity memo so we could know how much text it can hold. Even that information would be of limited use. Outlook doesn't provide a word or character count, so you would have to work in Word (to determine the character count) and then paste the text into Outlook.
