Default BB noob here- Problem inserting media card

Please Login to Remove!

I've been trying to insert the card (sandisk 2 gb microSD) into the door for a good while. The card seems to be too large for the door, even though the person at Verizon told me 200 times it would fit. I have been following the steps very closely (unlock door> open door> insert card in correct way> close and lock door) but the door won't even close when the card is in there.

Has anybody else had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure none of the metal ends are bent and don't force it.

I encountered the same problem, until I figured out that you need to slide the microSD card in the door first. Try it.

The ends aren't bent, but one of them does extend further than the others ones. This is normal, right?

reclary I have the same issue. The door does not close properly on the sandisk 2 gig. However with the battery in place the card apparently connects (I'm able to store and retrieve data without any problems). After reading your post I'm wondering if it's a sandisk thing?

Most would consider me very "tech-savvy" and it even took me a while to figure out that the microSD card needs to be inserted INTO the door rather than just layed there under the door....

Just to balance the scales here.... I slid the micro card directly into the flip up door, closed it and slid the lock in place the first time I tried.

However, I couldn't find the calendar, tools, email, the browser, turn the unit on or get it in the magnetic case.

So I guess all in all, I would trade places with you poor saps that can't put a micro card in the Curve. LOL

Wirelessly posted (8330)

I had to look it up online, and this is my third BlackBerry. Not easy to get it in there if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

Yes, well when it comes to me and electronic devices common sense rarely is involved!
