I was gonna start a new thread on this but...

Anyone notice that Cingular calls their Web Client "BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)"?

Go to this page: http://www.cingular.com/midtolarge/blackberry

On the right side, their is a link for the "BIS E-mail Login" but that's a link to the web client. I really hope this is just them preparing for a Cingular BIS and it just links to the web client until it's ready...

The generic title BlackBerry Web Client (BWC) was changed to BIS for all carriers a few month's ago.

Also, Sprint has an internal BWC too but they have not deployed it, or they have cancelled it.

Hi Guess,
hi there,
I got a Blackberry 6210 from Ebay and got myself a FIDO card for it.
And now it comes i tried to get a Blackberry Email Acc. which is allmost impossible with FIDO...
Though if you invest some time, that's what i did went to BlackberryForums.com so a Site for Rogers AT&T wireless click on it and it rerouts me to cingular....!!!!

No comes the best i tipe my PIN & EMEI in the proper fields and voila i got myself a Blackberry email ...

How is that possible? With a FIDO card to get a Cingular Blackberry Email Acc.?

Any Suggestions apresiated...

I have 8700g . I add just the TmoWeb for $5.99 and I installed Opera mini on my phone , so I can get to the Internet . But I cant use Google Talk nor The BB Web Browser (that disapear after I wipe out my phone and Upgrad it).
I dont have the BlackBerry intenret plan (they want me to ad it but I m fine I can access Internet with the $5.99) .
I NEED The Service Book .
If some one Can Upload his BlackBerry Files Located in the C:\program files\....\comon file... I will have the Browser and all the Applications and the service book !

Hi Carmelo,

I've been trying *everything* to get data for Fido to work... I do have GPRS on my account, but I don't have either the BES/BIS (Fido doesn't have the latter).

Did it work for you? I've tried everything I've seen online, attempting the TCP approach and then ultimately, and ironically, I got my 7290 to connect as a modem for the laptop with the same settings that wouldn't allow it to connect and use Opera Mini.

Any advice is *truly* appreciated...

No BlackBerry data plan = no email or PIN messaging.
