Exclamation BB Internet Mail logon outage

Please Login to Remove!

In case anyone is hunting around the forum becasue they can't log on to their BlackBerry Internet Mail mailbox with 'an unexpected error has occured processing the request' this is due to a RIM outage with the system. This affects O2 logins at www.o2email.co.uk and Vodafone at www.mobileemail.vodafone.net and no doubt others too (we only deal with Voda and O2 so can only confirm those). I have no idea if this is local to the UK or affects other areas.

As I said over here:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/show...736#post190736

Why not tidy these things up in to a specific area for people to post, then you wouldn't have to discipline peeps new Super Moderator!?!?!?

Default Down in Dallas

I'm down here in Dallas/Sprint. No login, connection refused messages. Sometimes I get logged and and then manage to get the Profile page. Clicking "Change Handheld" is as far as I have gotten.

This is very frustrating. I finaly got a BB from Sprint that actualy worked ( Three in a row with "Data Connection Refused" and no service book download) and now I can't change the profile for the new BB.

Angry

I still can't log into Cingular's BIS site. I just bought a BB yesterday and tried to sign up last night. It keeps telling me my pwd is bad, but when I click the "forgot pwd" link, it tells me that it will send a new pwd to my BB, but I never get an email.

Spent an hour on Cingular support before they blamed it on RIM and said they didn't know when it would be fixed.

Is that why you started a new thread in a different area regarding the same situation?

I actually didn't start two identical threads on the same issue. I started a thread here because it was the most suitable place to post, I then made a suggestion in the 'Site Suggestions' area that we should have an 'outage notifications' area or sticky thread. Surely the 'Suggestions' area is where we should be making.....suggestions?

You are right, my fault (that'll teach me to do two things at once . Threads that were current were merged at your suggestion. I dont think we need a sticky just yet, but if other mods feel that it would be a good idea then I am up for it.

Sweet! Would be nice if we didn't need an area for it. I'm sure we all like to think the solution's soooooo reliable we'd never need it (he says fingers crossed, touching wood and waliking around the ladder)!!!!!
