i can click the camera icon, and phone does what its supposed to do. I point, push the trackball, and it appears to take the pic, except for as soon as it "snaps", the screen turns white with the hourglass turning and then........nothing. Just shows a white screen. When i back out of the camera mode to look at the pics, all my other pics id taken some time ago are still there, but the one i just tried to take, just shows up as a red X.

Any suggestions?

Ive already tried the battery pull. Video still works fine. I have no clue why its doing this. Everything else on the phone works perfect.

You may have video going to your SD Card and pics going to the device memory? What is your free memory? Menu>options>Status (What is the filefree?)

i checked that already. tried sending it to the SD card and get the same results.

file free is 33654564 (plenty of space as i have virtually nothing on the phone.)
