Angry 4.1 worked and now its not

Please Login to Remove!

i have a 7100i and i was adding a new theme to my phone and then it went to the black and white "no theme" theme. so i changed it back to the default theme but now all my themes are not being read. so i thought they somehow got deleted but they are still in the application section of my phone. so i went to activate another theme that is still listed in the themes and i get this "uncaught exception: java.lang.illegalargumentexception"

i have tried to reload the 4.1 OS but it wont recognize it when i connect my phone up to the desktop manager. i have reinstalled it, deleted the files everything on my computer to see if i could reinstall 4.1 on my 7100i. anyone have any other ideas or solutions?

At last resort you might have to wipe the BB and reload 4.1. You can wipe the BB using javaloader

Download the handheld OS from your carrier
Execute the downloaded program
Locate and delete VENDOR.XML from your PCs C: drive
Restart Desktop Manager

No, the 4.1 is fine. Did you wipe by javaloader ? I just wiped my the other day. I wiped the BB first with javaloader. Uninstalled the DM and OS from PC. Downloader the DM and OS and executed. When Dm manager screen comes up, click the application loader and then the DM will find the BB

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7100/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

If your themes were from 4.0 then that is the problem you initially had. Just change them to 4.1 and everything will be fine.

Did you reinstall verichat ? I don't have this program so I am not sure how the service books works with this program.

Well, I am glad that you got the BB up and running.

Or, consider deleting and undeleting. I've had that work on a couple of occasions. Sometimes, that's what it takes for it to "reregister" them.

Hope that helps.
