Hi there,

we just finished the installation of our BES 4.1 environment (still a TEST environment) and I am now looking for a way to get the BB Manager / Console installed on some Support workstations. The installation of the 4.1 BB Manager was no problem but the Update with the SP2 will not start, Error message "You must sign in with the same account that you used for the installation stage of the setup program." Funny enough, it IS the same account.

I found a lot of posting and I have the feeling that the topic "remote Console" is not the easiest one, isn't it?

I would appreciate any help.

Workstations are all XP Pro SP2

Hey MSchnatmann,

It is known that 4.1 base installer is quite buggy. What you can do is..

1) Uninstall BB Mgr on your workstation
2) RE-install 4.1 base BBMgr
3) Do not restart computer
4) install 4.1 SP2 BBMgr
5) Restart computer

I have not try but I feel that this will work. Otherwise, call RIM if you have TSupport for a full installer for 4.1 SP2. Good luck!

FYI... I had the same exact issue (I just upgraded from 4.1.0 to 4.1.2 and got the same message when I tried to upgrade the Manager program on a separate workstation.) RIM had no other input but giving me the FTP link to the full installer for 4.1.2 and that worked fine.
