Hi,

Sorry if this is a dumb question. We just bought a new Blackberry 7250 here at the office and still learning how to use the thing. One annoying aspect we can't figure out after Googling and looking through the manual.

Is there a way to set the Blackberry so that the backlight comes on anytime:

- a button is pushed
- calendar event goes off
- incoming call
- incoming text msg.

I can help you with 1/4 of your request.

With 4.0 the light will come on for an incoming call.

It also comes on anytime you hit the phone button on top of the BB.

What I generally do is hit the top button, then ESC. It turns the light on and then takes me back to my message. Not a great solution, but with one hand - it sure is easier than trying to hit the light button on the 7280.

Thank you for your reply tafische. Yea, we were aware you could do that (hitting the top button to turn on the light). Thing is, we don't want to have to do that then hit Escape everytime. Also, a user complained that when the alarm goes off in the morning, he wants the screen to be lit so he can see what time it is. Lol, picky I know (but he's my boss). Any insight would be helpful.

Try BBLight. Turns the backlight on.
