Default Exchange 2007 SP2 and BES

Please Login to Remove!

Exchange 2007 SP2 was released yesterday, so a fairly early question, has anyone tested their BES against SP2? (beta, RC or RTM) if so, which BES version did you run against, 4.1.6, 5.0?

And most importantly, did it work?

Thanks
K.

Bes 5.0MR2, no problems for the last hours.

a little rant:
exchange 2007 is the worst exchange M$ has ever made.
looks like they tried to proof that it is possible to create Enterprise class software with net framework. The result is something that works - like vista, but with a very sluggish user interface.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree with you more.

Comparing Exchange 2007 to Vista is one of the most asinine things I've ever heard.

Vista and Exchange of course a two completely different things - you cant compare them.
right.

my "comparison" here was only regarding one singular aspect. The user interface:
go and open the new exchange system manager, or use it: all the time "xyz is beeing prepared".
Installation of SP2 took ages on my small test-system, 45Minutes. Most of the time, the installation did "preparing counters for xyz". This is annoying.
But these things are not relevant for a server during normal operation - Vista users however have to live all day with this.

otherwise Exchange 2007 does its job (there are bugs, but which software has no bugs).

This is off topic, sorry.

4.1.6 MR6 and now MR7 work fine for us with 2007 SP2.

Well if you took the time to do your home work on Exchange 2007 before deploying it you would notice that it requires a lot more hardware to run it than Exchange 2003 does. I have deployed properly for 100 mailboxes using Microsoft's best practices, in all the cost in hardward was just over 30K, thats more than half of what it costs to run Exchange 2003.

So because it's sluggish to you suggests to me and others here most likely that you have not properly deployed it!

@SmoothRunnings:
you like bashing people without trying to understand what they meant ?

Please, dont stop reading when you encounter a *red* word which rings your alarm bells.
Try to read my post completely - I only complained about the user interface of exchange 2k7, thats all.
