I just got my new VZW 8130 and love it... with a few exceptions. One thing I don't like is that the address book shows 2 lines per contact vs 1 line as it did on my 7130. For most of my contacts the second line is blank. For a few that have more details defined, the company name is listed. As it is, the second line is a waste and just causes me to have to scroll down more to reach my the contact I'm looking for.

I could see where this "could" be useful on a per contact basis, but not for every contact.

Is there anyway to change the address book to display only 1 line?

I wonder if that is new with the 4.3 OS. I don't have any options for that on my BlackBerry Curve with the 4.2.2 OS.

I finally called BlackBerry Support on this. Apparently this is a new "feature" of OS 4.3 and there is no way to change the configuration. I have submitted a feature change to bbsuggest.

I agree with the OP - 2 lines is a waste of space and scrolling time. Has anyone figured a way to get it back on 1 line only?

I've seen the two-lined address book and don't like it either. Hopefully, they'll add in a preference to have it either way like the emails.
