Default Armband for working out with pearl

Please Login to Remove!

i've been looking around for an armband for the pearl similar to the ones you see for the ipod or other mp3 players that i could take to the gym or on a run. with 4gb of music and the ability to be available if someone needs to handle business is a great option, but i don't want it bouncing around in my pocket. does anyone know where to get one, or know if the other mp3 players will fit the pearl?

Question Pearl Armband for Christmas!

RIM or 3rd Party Blackberry Partners...

I would really like a Pearl armband for Christmas!! Why are there no native Pearl armbands out there? Are we assumed to be lazy office working slaves that never go outside and would not be interested in housing our BlackBerries some other place than our hips? Come on.... give us a good armband for the Pearl!!! Pleeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

And yes, I have seen the XM-Nexus armband, the silicon skin with slits on the back, and the velcro-type armband. I'm not impressed with any. But why should I be? None of these were made specifically for the Pearl. The Pearl has now been out for over a year and with the Pearl 2 series, it is not going anywhere. Please help us from being forced over to the iPod world!!

Verizon carries one, but it's not "Pearl-specific."

It's called a Body Glove arm band pouch, and it looks like it might work OK.

I have the Body Glove pouch; ordered it from the Verizon website. It's built well enough quality-wise, but my one gripe is that it has four small slits/openings on the sides of the pouch, which I assume are designed for providing access to the volume rocker/shortcut buttons. This would allow water to come in contact with the device during a storm. Also, the clasp that closes the pouch is very cheap. The Pearl fits very snugly/securely inside, however.

GrizzId, I'm assuming your talking about this universal Body Glove Arm Band Pouch?
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...essoryId=30795

How well do the headphones plug in when using the arm band? From the picture, it looks like the the top of the pouch would cover the headset plug.

After looking into the Verizon version I came across a slightly different Body Glove version on the bodyglove.com website. This is a universal arm band as well, however they are actually using a Pearl as the sample phone for this model. This looks like it may be the best option I have come across so far. Anyone have any experience with what they call the Body Glove Scuba Universal for Music Players?

Your link has an error...this is the right link:

That looks very good! It's not clear what type of access there is to the Pearl buttons/headphone plug, however.

Would be nice to be able to see that in person...

Thanks Danabw. I corrected my link. I've been looking for this specific model case\armband online and the only place I have found it so far is direct from Body Glove. I'll report back if I pull the trigger on it.

They carry it at Best Buy. Go to your local Best Buy and it will be in the section of the cellular accessories for Blackberries.

I saw it at my local Best Buy yesterday and the packaging even has a cardboard insert of the Pearl face and keyboard in the case.

Excellent! Thanks, Jseah.

I'm home sick or I'd be heading there right now at lunch...
