Im trying to upgrade from BES3.6 SP2 (not SP2a) to SP7. After I run the installer and get past the wizard questions, I get the popup The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unaviable. and it has a Use source directory path from my old SP2 upgrade.
The problem is, I don't have the old SP2 files anymore. I get the error The file "whatever-path-I choose-here" is not a valid installation package for the product BlackBerry Entrprise Server." If I cancel out of the installer, I get Error 1706. No valid source could be found for the product BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The Windows Installer cannot continue.
I have tried pointing it to SP2a .msi file, SP3 .msi file, the original server CD .msi file. I have called BB support, which was useless. They told me the server CD .msi would work. It did not.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to do (other than upgrading to 4.x or reinstalling)? Or, does anyone have the old SP2 files laying around you could sent to me - the old compressed file name was besx_362_u.exe.
