Found this really useful.
Get a lot of calls from our operations in the middle of the night. With this now I just flug the BB in and leave the light on. Easy to find for those 2am calls...

Backlight won't stay on in 7750
I installed BBLight on a Blackberry 7750 with version 4.0 of OS. When I click on the BBLight icon I get the menu of options to set, if I click again I get a menu with "Activate" highlighted, and click on that to activate the app. However, 45 seconds later, the backlight dims rather than staying on. Has anyone gotten this app to work on a 7750? Is there something obvious I'm missing here?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Should just dim until you do something with the device, it comes on on activity if you set it that way in the menu, so a move of the wheel or hit space or anything turns it back on.

Download Question
I've searched for an answer, but haven't found anything so here goes.
I have a 7520 and went to download the bblight and bbtoday, but continue to get a "404" error message when trying to click on any of the mirror download sites. I'm still using the WAP browser...any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks

There is no longer an OTA version of BBLight.
You must now install via the BlackBerry Desktop.

The one feature I liked in v1.0 that's missing now is the persitant light never shutting off when idle. I do understand why it would normally be set up to work only during activity, but I may be reading something or thinking of my next move in a game or writing my next paragraph in a message, the light pops off after a short period.
I'd like a persistant light toggle (that shuts off when holstered of course).
Steve

When the light turns on from activity is there any setting that will turn the light off again? Like 30-45 secs?

Okay, I cannot get this BBLight to work on my Nextel 7520. I have OS 4.0.0.249 running on it. I went to the http://sourceforge.net/projects/blackberrytools/ location via my BB. I went through the various links and clicked the trackwheel on all the related BBLight links. It looked like it downloaded something...but I cannot tell if it installed it. I do not have any icons on my home screen that have anything to do with the BBLight.
Am I doing something wrong?
