Are you using the same database for the BES servers?

Lightbulb Possible Fix

We have had the same problem when moving users, and apparently it's an ongoing thing with BlackBerries.

What you need to do (assuming there is no user data on the handheld to back up and restore) is:

1. Wipe the handheld by using the Security Menu ON THE HANDHELD.

2. Remove the user from the BlackBerry Manager.

3. Readd the user, and set an Activation password.

4. Activate the user FROM THE HANDHELD using Enterprise Activation and the password you set.

At no time during this process does the handheld need to be connected to your workstation.

This worked for us and reset the policy after much wailing and gnashing of teeth. If you have user data which needs to be backed up and restored, there is a much longer process (not tested by me) written by user DGMAN. Use the article link below to see the 20-step process:

So you're using a shared backend database between the two BES servers? The only reason moving a user should result in an IT Policy error status is if you're moving them from one BES to another with a separate database - this would involve removing them from one BES and moving them to the other. The error comes when they have one active policy on their handheld that is locked to a certain database and are put onto a new BES with a new policy attempting to load itself onto the handheld - its rejected.

If you are using independent databases for each of the BES servers, then the above security wipe process is the only method you can take in order to fix the policy issue.

Thanks for your suggestion, Sorry Mr.Dustbin i am using new SQL Database .
So as per Jibi statement I have to follow second step which is suggested friend Mr.LAW .

Here is my suggestion, let me correct if its wrong approach .
Previous BES DB should be taken Backup and import the DB to New BES DB .
Delete the user table who is not moved to new BES server .
Then add BB user to new BES server
Is this will work out for me
If it so how to take backup MSDE and Import to SQl - because I am week in SQL
Please help me

How many users have you already migrated over that are currently showing a policy error? And yes, the database migration would be the easiest way to go. Once you answer the first question, I'll point you to the correct HOWTO articles.

I wonder if it would work if he exported and imported the 4 IT policy tables from the old DB to the new one.... think i'll give that a try when I have time.

doubtful, but possible. not really sure. my understanding is that the policy, when applied, actually has server specific information for the BES.

Thread from me:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/show...base+migration

Thread from bfrye:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/show...base+migration

This covers database migration. Mine mainly covers the various methods of migrating JUST the database. bfrye's covers the process of migrating the BES and the database.

see BBTG's reply. he's far more of an expert on BES than most others here.

If anyone actually is interested you can import the policy template from one BES to another. They just have to be the same version.

My suggestion will work, but one thing you have keep it in mind , before deploying the new BES server , copy the .mdf and .ldf file from old BES server .and attache the fiel to your SQL server, and install the application and then try to move user .

Enjoy
