Default questions about verizon BIS 2.3 upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

i have verizon BB 8703e. i don't use BES (sadly).

i read on engadgetmobile.com that RIM released BIS 2.3 to all of north america. i am under the impression that i don't have to physically do anything on my BB, and that the upgrade will automatically go through. is this the case? how do i verify that the upgrade has occured? i can't tell where to look for it!

does anyone else have verizon that can verify such information?

thanks for your help.

only way you would notice is to login in to your BIS account and you will see differences there. Like the gmail sync and things of that nature.

You do not have to do anything to your device on your end.

can you describe the gmail sync context of 2.3?

is this full sync? i know it's full push, but is it full gmail sync? or is it only yahoo mail that will full sync?

I've posted this other places already....

Using GMail I can delete on the GMail server and it will eventually delete from the handheld and vice versa. It takes over an hour to delete off the handheld after deleting from the server, however. If I read an email on the device or on the server it does not sync that.
