Default Motorola Slvr L7

Okay, this is kind of a weird deal.

My roommate flaked out on me, moved out of state with his girlfriend, leaving me with rent and bills to pay, but also leaving behind his Cingular Slvr L7.

I figured I can probably sell it on craigslist, but being a dedicated blackberry guy, I don't know squat about this phone. I need to wipe it, or reset to factory settings, or whatever it is you do to these things.

Anybody know anything about these phones and what I need to do to get his info out of there?

Much thanks!

Well, I posted it on Craigslist for $100. It's got some superficial scratches, but seems fine otherwise.

First off, this would be better in the Buy, Sell, Trade forum...

Secondly, I wouldn't be surprised if your roommate reported this phone as lost/stolen making it useless to whoever buys it.

but in the meantime...as for the master reset...

1. From the standby screen, select Menu.
2. Select Settings
3. Select Initial Setup
4. Select Master Reset
5. Enter the security code, then select Yes to reset the device. Note: The default security code is 000000

CDMA phones can be locked out by networks....Not GSM phones.
