Same issues.

phone working well and charging for years. No trouble after update to OS 5. One morning its on the charger cycling through a re-boot and a white screen. No water damage

Installed a newly purchased battery and same cycle thing.
Connects to my desktop PC but wont charge beyond 4%

Reinstalled OS with Apploader, no change
Wiped it with JL_Cmder and reinstalled OS, no change

Finally noticed that the red light does not come on if I plug it into the wall charger WITHOUT the battery in.

I presume from various threads that this is not "normal".

At the moment, my device is wiped. When I plug it into the USB port, it gives the no software error (507). Still nothing happens when plugged into a charger without the battery in place.

My plan is to leave it plugged in for a while, and if still nothing, try charging it with the battery in and without the software installed. And if still no luck, then try the various other software that is offered.

Haven't gone back to the installation disk yet. Maybe that's an option if I can find it.

(ps. I assume only folks that enjoy these challenges wil respond, cause I know, I know, "I could just buy a new(er) phone" )
