Default Setting Up / Cleaning Up Clutter on Tour

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my Tour and setting it up.

Some questions
  1. How do I get rid of all the icons for things like MySpace in the Application folder. I'll never use most of these apps, and I want to get rid of the clutter. The context menu gives no option to just delete these. I understand that I can hide them, but why not just zap them if I'll never need them?!!
  2. When I go to m.google.com, it's not giving me an option to download the Google Blackberry App. My browser is set to Blackberry but it just gives me a list of links to things like gMail, Search (which goes to a web page) etc. I want the Google App. Anyone know of a static link to download the sucker?
  3. On the Storm, you can silence the ringer when a call comes in without Ignoring the call and sending to to vMail. Doesn't seem that the Tour provides this option?! Is there any way to get it to Ignore without abruptly sending people to vMail (which rudely notifies them that they've been screened!)
  4. Does anyone have the YouTube app running on the Tour? I can get it to come up, but it seems to freeze.
Thanks all!

1. Many of those are service books. You can delete the service books but most likely they will be pushed back. Just hide them.

2. Try
HTML Code:
http://www.google.com/gmm
3. Don't know--I don't have a Tour. Usually there is a large pdf format full user's guide on the CD that came with the device. Try that.

4. Freezing usually means you are impatient. Have you given it sufficient time to open? Many times the first time you open an app like that it needs a minute or two to initialize.

It took me two or three tries to get google maps up. It seemed to hang for me also. But it did go eventually.

/gmm is Google Maps, which launched right away - I'm actually looking for the Google Mobile App. Anyone know of a static link for the main Google Mobile App (search with quick jumps to the various apps)?

YouTube is definitely NOT working. I think it thinks that all 4.7 OS phones are touch screen and it is not recognizing trackball input.

Thanks for the Service Books hints. They're gone for now. I guess we'll see what happens if I have to do a service book resend in the future....

Default Getting Google Mobile App onto Tour?

Hello!

Does anyone know how to get the Google Mobile App onto the Tour?

When I go to m.google.com, it doesn't give me the option to download it as it should. I believe that Google is mistakenly sensing that the Tour is a device that can't handle the app, so it gives me only the html search option.

Does anyone have a static link to the OTA for the Google Mobile App?

Thanks!

Downloading BB Desktop now so I can install it! Hope it runs... The highest OS with CODs available is 4.6. Might not run on 4.7 yet? We shall soon find out...

The App Loader says it's not compatible, and won't load it. :(

Thanks for trying!
