Been pretty good here.. Went to .69 from .42 as my little bout with .55 resulted in a dead sim card....

Memory leaks appear to be better and bluetooth and UMA are still a little flaky with my stereo headset, but at least it doesn't drop the call.

Very happy with it so far.

Anyone that uses jivetalk, notice anything funky with it using .69? The white screen comes up and flickers a little on startup, it will not go away till I hit the back button. It does it for both 1.0.5 & 1.0.6 - afterward it logs on fine, just weird on startup of JT

I haven't noticed that. However, where did you get JiveTalk 1.0.6?

There's a beta out for it, it's at 1.0.7b now. There's a thread in the Beejive forums:

.69 working pretty good for me as well. I noticed a bump in memory and the memory leak is not as bad (at least not in the past 48 hours).

UMA calls and BT have been great (fingers crossed).

Loving the upgrade so far.

Running this for about 24 hours now and it's the first beta I've decided to keep since .18. Seems pretty stable. Slows down on some things, like when I'm trying to assign a song from my memory card as a ringtone, but all in all pretty quick.

A little OT but I would be grateful for your collective thoughts on this. My 8310 is running great on .69 now - best update ever...BUT...

my berry (which is my own) was on my old corporate BES. I have now changed jobs and (in between firms) I want to use my berry unrestricted. My old workplace issued a blank policy when I left. This wasn't a complete solution I found (IT obviously didn't tick all the right boxes), so I searched here, found the other blank policy routine, tried it and (for the most part) got all the security restrictions back to normal. The ONE restriction that seems to be in place is firewall is bizarrely still enabled, so I can't use Opera Mini.

Does anyone know how I can disable the firewall policy or remove it? As I say, it's odd it's still on here. I apologise as this is a little OT but promise to keep the detour brief as it's still .69 talk kinda.... ;)

EDIT: Sorry, realised I posted this in .69 for 8320 and I'm .69 for 8310 but I suspect the same deal applies...

In the sticky for removing IT policy is a method for all devices running OS 4.3 or higher which will completely remove ALL IT policy from the device. That will unlock your firewall. Basically, you use the "resettofactory" command in jL_Cmder

I was just reflecting back to the days when people said that UMA and bluetooth couldn't work together because of hardware issues.

Mine works great since I have been using beta software.

My bluetooth and UMA don't play nice on .69. It acts like it did on 4.2.2.180. Anyone else having this issue?

My Motorola S9 works fine while on UMA. If I have music playing, the music will stop and the phone works fine. When I'm done on the phone the music starts back up. All happens on UMA just fine.

With older OS's (including some of the 4.5 betas pre 4.5.0.52) this wasn't the case. I would only get silence on the S9 if I tried to make a call when on UMA.

Can anyone tell me if there is a real noticeable improvements over the official .52 release? .52 is doing okay for me at the moment and I don't want to upgrade every other week and keep pestering my BES admin to re-activate everytime I upgrade my OS. Is GMM 2.X still hanging at 80 or 90% when on a sw config policy w/BES?

I think .69 is the most stable release I have used on my Curve. I had .52 and it had a few little issues that annoyed me.

I don't have BES so I can't tell how Google Maps works on that, but I have it working fine on BIS.

I think I am having GPS troubles with .69. It doesn't seem to be as sensitive. I have to be outside now for it to work where as before it seem to work no matter where I was.
