Thanks. Guess my problem may not be the OS version.

Ive got it running, and it does seem a bit smoother. There are a few finishing touches that need to be implemented, but other than that. ITS ON!

Has anyone noticed the data kind of crapping out for a minute or two then coming back? I dont loose EDGE, I just loose the arrows showing me when data is passing. Kind of odd. I have to turn my connection off then back on to get it to back alive again. Could be my towers.. who knows.

No spin. Reported cases of SIM card failures after using 4.5. The "search" feature, the most UNDER UTILIZED feature on this forum, would give more information.

Does Blackberry Messenger still ask to send a PIN update notice after a reboot on this version?

Umm, Have no reason to search SIM card failure but thx. I love how everyone is soooo big on the magical "search" feature, even when no real question was asked.

Only question that was asked is if John has used this beta, and his experience. I'll be sure to "search" John's opinions before I post next...

...for every version I've used (which is almost every one since last October), it's only asked that when I restore my BlackBerry Messenger data from one device to another (where the PIN actually changes). If you're upgrading on the same device, it shouldn't ask that.

Slow down, Turbo!

Sim cards ARE failing on .42. Its been happening since .37 on Tmo devices. And the SEARCH feature is VERY underutilized. I don't have answers to 23,000 questions. I got 23000 posts by answering the same questions over and over.

BB Messenger errors are caused by contacts with smileys in their names. Have your contacts remove smileys from their name and errors will go away. Its not enough to just change them on your end, either.

No, they have to change it on their end. You will get errors until that name is changed or gone.
