Default Sprint's 'iPhone' - Samsung Instinct

This seems marginally interesting. I'm not sold on a touchscreen device, though.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

I'm so glad RIM doesn't have to attempt to be competitor #1 to the iPhone

Wirelessly posted (blackberry 8140)

That's because BB isn't competing with iPhone! IPhone is trying to compete with BB

I've read a couple of articles on it today-sounds like it could be a viable player, but as always the real question is: does it do what it promises to do? Seems like it wasn't that long ago that the Blackjack was going to be the end-all, as well.

I really think RIM will be coming out with a touch screen BB soon! Touch screen is new technology and if RIM does come out with one I don't think it will take anything away from what a BB already does but would add to its already great features. I know some people turn their noses up at the idea of touch screen because "it's so difficult to type" but for those of us with skinny fingers it would be a great feature to have.

And by no means do I think Apple is trying to take anything away from RIM. They both have their own markets and both do very well in their industry.

A touch screen does not have to mean no physical keyboard.

Agree completely, Argon. In fact, my wife would love to find a GSM device with touch screen, qwerty, and a seperate "phone" keypad.

But then, she would also love it if I was 6'2 and independantly wealthy-she's picky that way...

Its over here in the UK being sold by Vodafone
I had a play on one in-store and it was a piece of c**p
I hated the feel of it, the way it responded (it was rather slow) and i hated the look of the interface.
This is going to fail miserably.

Has anyone played with it here in the US yet? My gf is seriously considering moving to the instinct from the Mogul but since it just came out I wanted to hear opinions on it so far. I've read alot of reviews but I'd like to get BB users perspective on it, even though most of us are biased anyways.

I wouldn't give up my Curve for the Instinct, but the website is pretty cool.
