Just installed onto Vista system.
Had 4.3 before. Liked it.
4.5 simply will not open. After lengthly install all I end up with in Program Files\RIM\BlackBerry folder is blackberry.ico and readme.txt. Nothing else.
An icon was created - program files etc are not to be found anywhere.
Installed 4 times now c- with/without removing 4.3 first and plenty of reboots.
Please help to install successfully.

You need to Install Desktop Manager not Device Manager. Check the download links closely.

Did I do something wrong when downloading DM 4.5? When I went to configure sync I couldn't find Yahoo to sync with.

Please remove the link. Only links to RIM certified downloads are allowed, even to released versions of software.

Desktop Manager can be downloaded from the RIM site. DM 4.6 is still beta and unreleased. Please do not post these links.
