Default Power Station Charging Cradle for 8900?

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8310 and have the Powerstation + Mini EBC setup, which I love: Charges phone and just in case have a backup battery in store should I be low on juice.

They have made exchangable Charging Cradles for the Bold and Pearl - are they planning to make one for the 8900? The 8900 has similar contacts as 8300 curves - what gives?

I have the same charger and have cradles for my 8800 and 8310. I wondered about a cradle for my new 8900, too.

Hi,
I saw BlackBerry Power Station cradles for the Bold, but did not see one available for the Blackberry 8900 - when will this be released? I bought a Blackberry Power Station unit ($200!!!) for my Blackberry 8310 and hope to be able to use it with my 8900.

I have posted this question before and all I got were crickets chirping. I specifically asked RIM this question at WES a few weeks ago and they said there were no plans they knew of to make a 8900 charging cradle for the PowerStation, which makes me irate as I spent a lot of money on that charger knowing that the cradles were changeable and it would not become obsolete. Guess what - it's obsolete! The EBC for the 8900 doesn't fit the back of the PowerStation as that is mini-USB and the 8900 is micro-USB.

We should send a collective letter to RIM expressing our dissatisfaction with their business plan on this accessory as it is not a low-priced item and was aimed at their target market - enterprise users.

This is a sore point for me as well. I bought the PowerStation because I like it on my office desk. While waiting for RIM to produce a cradle I bought one of the chrome stands. It works but the phone is not as secure and it does not charge a spare battery. I will be selling my 8310 and I guess I will let the PowerStation go as well...

Arg, was hoping the release of the ATT 8900 would convince Blackberry to release a cradle for it. Haven't heard anything yet....

Man, it doesn't look like RIM is gonna make a cradle for the 8900. Seriously, I don't understand why it is so hard? I'm so pissed off that I bought the stupid powerstation to begin with. WTF was I thinking!?

Not sure if it is only that brand you are after, but I found a cradle for my 8900. It works pretty well too, or as well as I think it should. Never had a problem with it. I think I picked it up at BlackBerry 8900 Accessories. It was definately affordable, and like I said, never had a problem with it.
