You're just shortchanging yourself. I rely on tasks, calendar, and pim among other things and can tell you my new 3g iphone does all those things as well if not better than my Curve. I'm not getting paid to say this, I'm not crazy, and I'm not a traitor. I loved my Curve, but the iphone is way better than all the haters will admit to. You can't know this to be true until you get one, set it up and use it for a while.

Not a hater here, but it all depends on what your priorities are for using it. Its absolutely world-class, best-of-breed as an iPod multimedia player, and as a web browser in PDA size. But its push email isn't push at all (yet) and worst of all, the actual phone is pretty lousy (in my personal experience and as widely reported in the press.)
I use my BB first as a phone, second for email. Multimedia player and web browsing are definitely not as important as phone and email. That's why I won't even consider an iPhone at present.

Been a closet iPhone user for 2 months now. So far, using the iPhone 3G on the company's exchange server is giving me everything I used and needed on my 8310, plus the oft mentioned way better browsing and big screen experience. The only thing missing is the 8310's battery life. Typing has proven to be extemely good for me (a MAJOR concern at first).

been on the iPhone for about a month because of neccesity and the Bold not having been released yet. Cant make it a whole day of normal use without recharging :( Typing i hate and address lookup is clunky.
That said, to be honest and fair, its been pretty solid and actually i have found it to be more reliable then Windows Mobile devices, i generally get my email in short order.

after:
RIM goes out of business, they store 1TB of data, connected to corporate email, carried by verizon (i might want to make a phone call or two), free with no contracts, ...and oh yeah, massages my sack while I sit at my desk.
after those terms are met i will consider the iphone

Battery life and carrier are the biggest things keeping me. I've considered it several times, but as another person mentioned, I use it as a phone first. Reception is key, as well as it being charged when I need it.
There are some other minor things I'd like to see fixed though, like cut and paste.
I'm hoping that the Storm will be everything a blackberry is, and most of what an ipod could be.

Temptation got to me. I bought a 1st gen. iPhone and had it for a year. I have to admit, I really liked it at first but there's a lot wrong with it, IMO. I never had a BB before so I've upgraded to the BB Curve. I get it tomorrow. I've heard too many good things about BB phones, I just had to try it out for myself.

Same for me. I love my macbook, but for some reason can't stand the iphone. I want a real keypad to type on, not some lame excuse for one one a screen (I would still rock a Storm though ).

I would buy an iPhone if Micro$oft bought RIM and loaded our devices with WM.
Woah! Just typing that made me sweat.

Shaun, You had to choose a "BlackBerry" with either Palm OS or WM. Which would you choose?
