I ma having a problem formatting my new 1GB micro SD card. I keep trying to format the card so it will appear in the device manager but it is causing my BB to freeze. Any suggestions? I am going on a road trip tomorrow afternoon and was hoping to load up some MP3's onto it.

Mine was recognized as soon as I putthe card in. Are you using "media Manager" in ver 4.2 of Desktop Manager? I was able to see everything, no problem...

haven't heard of this specific problem. What kind of SD card is it and where did you get it?

Are you trying to format it in the BB on from the PC??? Also if you are trying to format from the BB how are you attempting this???

Additionally what are your settings under Options >> Advanced Options >> Media Card???

That's a weird issue. If you have a card reader, try formatiing the card on the pc first via usb and see if this helps once you pop it back in the Pearl. Other option.......place all your info on the card while on the pc.
