Default ** 6 Reasons Why I Hate the BB Pearl! **

Please Login to Remove!

1) NO prepackaged holster.... whats up with that?

2) Suretype sucks. Argue all you want, but its about as efficient as a regular telephone dialpad when typing out lenghty messages.

3) Do I have to write my own phone application just to turn off the shutter sound?

4) Battery life... need I say more.

5) "Hey man, isnt that the same phone that (enter any ****ty celebrity name here) has?"

6) Despite all the above its still sexy as hell and I couldnt resist it...

1. Holsters suck. My back pocket works far better.

2. Suretype is fantastic, but takes some getting used to. The autoword features are great, makes errors very rare.

3. I assume you are talking about the camera? RIM will/can release an update for this if they are notified.

4. Not had enough time to figure how it compares to my 7100 or 7130

5. Hmm.. not sure I could care less about a phone a celebrity has.

6. I concur.

I think the Suretype cure will be the new bbSpell but they are having issues with it on the 8100. Time will cure all, but won't convert me either. I hate Unsuretypw.

When I first inquired about the Pearl at a T-Mobile "Authorized Dealer", they thought I was talking about the Sidekick, and I totally was not--

Us: "Have you got the new BlackBerry 8100 in?"
They: "...the 2 or the 3?"
Us: "...what?!"
Another guy: "The phone Paris Hilton has, yeah?"
Us: "No, not the SIDEKICK, we said BLACKBERRY 8100. The phonetic patterns aren't even similiar!"
