There really should be a warning on that FAQ about the antenna being RIGHT UNDER the bottom piece.

Same happened to me :(

This needs to be unstickied if it is not updated....

Can't you just cover it with opaque tape, or keep it in a briefcase?

I disassembled my 8100 and replaced the LCD but when I put it back together the red led flashed once and then the screen was black. I took out the battery and reinstalled it but still red flashing led and no screen. Tried a new battery same thing. Checked old battery power showed charged. Want to know how to fix if I can. I would appreciate any help.

I now have a 8320 Curve that replaced my worn out, scratched up 8100 Pearl. However, I ordered some parts for the Pearl and installed them this morning and now have a pretty (re-branded to AT&T) Pearl to give my little sister for Christmas! Thanks for the how-to on taking it apart!
